Côtes de Provence
Philippe and Cécile Bénézet farm their 20 hectares in Cuers, in the heart of the Côtes de Provence. The subsoil is red clayey-sandstone covered with alluvial and eroded stony deposits called ‘gravoches’ which ensure good drainage. Yields are moderate at 40 hectoliters per hectare. The grapes are hand-harvested, and fermented on their own yeasts.
